The learna software, which is the cornerstone of the Learna method, uses creative coaching techniques and unique lesson plans in following the school curriculum very closely.
While supplementing and reinforcing the school curriculum, the Learna software also remedies the gaps and enriches the strengths in a child’s skill set. It also gets preschoolers ready for learning.
Learning Stages
Our activity-based Learna software operates in three different modes: teaching, review, and practice for each activity. After the children learn a particular concept, they review the material through a sequence of questions.
When the software identifies that the student has mastered the concept based on his or her performance in the review mode, it switches to practice mode. In the practice mode, the child answers another series of questions with varying levels of difficulty until a certain speed/accuracy is achieved before moving on to the next activity.
Tests
In order to ensure long-term retention of the concepts, the software includes an additional test mode –in which the concepts learned over many related levels are tested periodically. Finally, a biannual competition mode is used to rank all the students enrolled in the programme and to select them for various awards.
Extra Features
While in review or practice mode, the children can play various stimulating classical or refreshing children’s music titles in the background. Each session also includes a “recess,” during which the software offers age-appropriate, mind-refreshing educational games and puzzles.
